Experience

A Levels: A*A*AAa (Spanish, English Literature, English Language, German, Maths AS) SAT I: 2140 (first attempt with no coaching) GCSEs: 13 A*s Currently employed as a Primary Teaching Assistant at the prestigious King's College School in Madrid, where I work intensively with small groups of children who struggle with English or with learning, but I also take entire classes. Focus is particularly on Maths, English language (reading, writing, speaking) and drama. Worked as an English teacher in a German middle/high school, planning and delivering my own lessons. I would therefore be well-placed to tutor: English language (grammar, conversation, etc.) to all ages and ability levels Primary School work in English, all subjects (ages 7 to 11) Secondary School work in English, particularly literature, German, Spanish (ages 11 to 18) CVs, resumes, job applications, university applications in English Oxford/Cambridge University Interview prep, admissions tests German for English-speakers (A1 to C1) I love teaching. I adapt well to all age groups but the common thread is my enthusiasm and drive to achieve the best, most supportive environment for my students. Innovative teaching methods and meticulous planning are my forte, as I believe every student should receive the absolute most from their lessons with me. I like to combine originality with old-school thoroughness, so that all lessons are both stimulating and effective. I am also excellently-placed to help students applying for English-language jobs or British universities, given my extensive knowledge of the UCAS system (similar to Common App). I combine language improvement and technical vocabulary with confidence coaching to ensure the student has the best possible chances of an acceptance.

I am a friendly, homey person and have a relaxed, welcoming manner. I spend a lot of time cooking and inventing recipes, writing my lifestyle blog, learning new languages, exploring Madrid and Spain, and taking part in cultural activities like theatre and art.
