Experience
I went through a Spanish immersion program starting at age 5, and have been speaking ever since. In high school I was a full IB graduate and a member of the national honors society. I spent summers volunteering with children at summer school who spoke Spanish as their first language. I scored a 2080 on my SATs. In college I tutored students at Whitman college in Spanish writing, and in my most recent job I was a Spanish teacher at an elementary school in Portland. I have been emersed in the educational system here in the US at both the college and elementary level, and feel comfortable working with students both one on one or in group settings in subjects including English creative writing and English grammar.

Hobbies
I am a singer, I play in a band in Portland, Oregon and music is a passion of mine. I also play basketball, I played in college and the past year played in a competitive women’s league. Being from the Pacific Northwest, I love adventuring outdoors, including hiking and skiing. I spend most of my summers traveling, 2 years ago i studied in Granada Spain and during that summer I travelled all over Europe. The following summer, after graduating Whitman, I travelled for another 3 months in Europe and saw many new and interesting places. I love meeting new people of various cultures and learning about different peopleI love their lives. I also enjoy working with people and students, I have been a teacher, mentee and tutor and find that I am able to connect with my students and understand their specific needs.
