Experience
I went through a Spanish immersion program starting at age 5, and have been speaking ever since. In high school I was a full IB graduate and a member of the national honors society. I spent summers volunteering with children at summer school who spoke Spanish as their first language. I scored a 2080 on my SATs. In college I tutored students at Whitman college in Spanish writing, and in my most recent job I was a Spanish teacher at an elementary school in Portland. I have been emersed in the educational system here in the US at both the college and elementary level, and feel comfortable working with students both one on one or in group settings in subjects including English creative writing and English grammar.
